Damn CPU

Hey there!

I'm working on a project, and while working on it, my CPU is almost at 70% of its size. This makes that my software aint work properly.

What should i do? Export some tracks into .wav files? Any suggestions?

When I use a plugin/plugins that take up a lot of CPU, I'll just turn them off when I don't need to hear them, or export what ever audio I need from them. Large CPU usage doesn't necessarily equate to faulty software. Your software just might use a lot of resources to work.
 
What DAW/software do you use?

Check if there's any unnecessary programs running except the DAW, and close them.
Try switching of any Wifi or Bluetooth and such.
Find what's contributing to the heavy CPU usage the most, if it's a certain VST plugin you use a lot, maybe it's time to search for one with a similar sound but with less CPU usage (I mean if you find any that's good enough).
And yeah, freezing/bouncing to .wav is a common and good workaround.
