Cubase 5 quantize? Cubase vets help !

when auto Q is activated in cubase what value does it quantize by? if i have the iterative % set 10 will it iterative quantize? or if random quantize is at 2% will it make a difference?. It seems like everytime i record with auto Quantize it just quantize the midi straight. Im getting tired of having to go back and manually random Q'n the notes
