Has anyone tried to load fruity loops, reasons or whatever else DAW on or from a thumb drive? I was wondering if you had a 32GB thumb drive would that work to where you could now just travel with the thumb drive?

I used to run fl studio from 2gb usb stick because i didn't have much space on computer and it worked, also today i have it on external hard drive and i works. Just make sure that you copy all fl studio's files on drive.

i have reaper, freeware vsts and a ton of samples on a 16gb usb, i dont use it too much but its handy for when at a friends place or whatever and i need to record something

Ok so Bestbuy had a 64GB for $27.99 so I bought 2. I copied FL to it and ran it with success. Not all VST's work so that I will have to figure out but I can take it anywhere.

use freeware vsts that dont need registry entries to lay down your ideas then fix it up later. synth1 would be a good one i use all the time, along with bootsy and kjaerhus classic fx plugins
