Are you talking about filters?...
Or reverb?
Or delay?

If you mean any of those things, any of them then please look at these links
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_signal_processing#Techniques

That link you gave me only gives me the definition to all of those audio techniques..i'm talking about if you go to youtube.. and type in Blur Effect in Fl Studio.. you'll see what im talking about. Its like a at the start of the song you hear the vocalist say something but its builds build and then the words that they say are normal..here's the link that should explaiin what im talking about.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBKNJDtWjqY

please click on it.. to understand further what im saying.. Its like a Blurred vocal...

That Blur function in Edison is kind of its own thing - I can't think of any simple technique that'd achieve the exact same thing, as it seems it's using some kind of a convolution trick to sort of modulate the original audio with an impulse response.

Actually...now that I thought about this a bit more and looked up some discussions, it seems that it's a bit like a reverse reverb and a regular reverb combined. It sort of adds bits of the audio in gradually increasing intensity approaching the apex of the envelope, to both sides of it, thus creating the "blur". I'm inclined to call it some kind of "granular convolution", but frankly I don't understand the maths behind this so that term might just be flat-out wrong :D
