Corriere della Sera, a leading Italian daily newspaper, has run an exclusive interview with IK's CEO and founder Enrico Iori and tells the story of IK Multimedia in a very intriguing way.

Enrico Iori: "While just five years ago IK employed around 20 people divided between the Italian and US offices, today there are around 100 employees spread across Italy, USA, Hong Kong, Japan, United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina."

IK Multimedia began with producing corporate video presentations back in 1996 but very soon, switched to developing software. "Then we understood our mission: to create the new musical instruments of the 21st century", said Enrico.

From the moment the iPhone was launched, the company, with 10 years of experience in the PC/Mac sector, decided to embrace the new app world. After the initial success IK has never looked back: the iRig interface for iPhone and iPod, the most popular IK product of all, has achieved sales of over a million units.

At IK, the real added value is music. "All our employees are or have been musicians themselves: to excel in this field, it's not enough to have the technical knowledge" says Enrico, who is a guitar player himself and loves music and concerts. This passion has also developed a partnership with Padua University for innovative research in the musical field.
