What's the best recording mic I can get for 400$ or cheaper?

I'm on a tight budget so what do you all think is the best recording (vocals) mic I can get for 400$ or cheaper?

Will you be recording vocals done by you if you rap and/or sing or will you be recording other people? You don't want to go too cheap or too expensive and if you can, go to a music store where you are located and test mics.

This is really the answer. You have to try out a microphone for the application you want to use it for. If it sounds good (and isn't built cheaply), it is good.

I recommend a Blue Yeti to just about everyone who's starting out. Does everything you need for a pretty low price.

Get a used Rode NT2 or SE2200 MKII & either a GAP Pre73 or a WarmAudio WA12 preamp.

Shure beta 91a is what I currently gots, but I heard alotta good things about the h6n thing. depends on what you're doing I suppose.
