Best bang for buck in my opinion would be the Bluebird mic by Blue. I think it runs at about 299.00 its got a nice crisp sound and works well with almost any vocals in my experience. I still use mine for some records and love the sound. You will need an audio interface though, if you are just using it through a pc in like adobe audition or cool edit or whatever program you have i'd recommend the presonus vacuum preamp its a couple hundred but is a great low budget pre amp that will do wonders for your vocal quality.
