Looking to buy a new synthesizer

Yeah, it's not bad at all. It's just that I personally think that learning (subtractive) synthesis is easiest on a knob-per-function synth, where you can just twist a knob and see what it does. When you have to pre-emptively select the parameter you want to adjust, it's not just quite the same. And if something doesn't do what you want it to, it may get confusing, especially with the modulation. But if I had to have just one relatively affordable hardware synth for maximum flexibility, the Blofeld would be high up on the list.
