Dead keys on my M-Audio Oxygen 49 (Blue)

I have the Oxygen 49 for 4 years now. Since last year I stopped using it frequently and the "dead keys" problem started surfacing. First time I repaired it myself by removing the keys and scrubbing the contacts with a pencil (to make them more conductive) and afterwards playing around with the keys.

Keys were dropping dead again a few months later.

I was thinking, should I purchase a conductive pen and start scribbling on the contacts once again? Maybe the graphite from the pencil wore off.

If you actually are a keys player look into digital pianos or synths if you have a budget.

Did you contact M-Audio about your situation and if so did they respond and how? If you didn't contact 'em, why not?

Yes, and four years is a long time by today's 30-day warranty standards.
Why not try a little Caig's DeOxit on those contacts?
