I went in yesterday think im going to come out wit an mpc and I did'nt I think they'er tryin 2 rip me off 1000.00 for a mpc 1000 I thought I'd rather go on ebay and for 1400 cop that 4000. Help me on this I dont know what to do

I'd go to pricegrabber.com, and type in the MPC you're looking for, find the lowest advertised site, make a print out and then take it to GC and they will price match it most of the time. I've done this lots of times.

In other late breaking news ... the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, LOL.

if portability is not an issue for you, go with the 4000 man. I don't why anyone who has the money would buy a new mpc 1000 when they can get an used 4000 off of ebay.

Also, I have been checking mpc 4000 prices on ebay every single day for the last 2 months, and so far not a single one has gone for less than around $1650.

they stopped sellin the 4000 (not on ebay the equipment stores) it got discountinued

You gotta ask for the hook up! NEGOTIATE!

My homie got da 1000 for $875 just the other day, they will tell you that their cost is like $900 but they bullllllllssssshhhhhiiiiittttttiiiiiiinnnn!

A risk in buying the 4000 on ebay is that for nearly $2000 you end up with an expensive piece with no warranty. Akai is damn reliable, but I've seen a handful of toast 4000's on ebay as well.

dude your pingin! you'll never get the best deal...someone will always offer a better deal after you've made a purchase...find a deal for what you want that you can live with that day...and press...at this rate you'll pass up a good now deal versus the best deal which in reality aint realistic...buy some damn gear n get to making music

Akai MPC60II $695Akai MPC1000 $625 Akai MPC1000BK $725 Akai MPC1000BK (New) $849 Akai MPC2000 $550 Akai MPC2000 Smpte chip $25

rogue music.com

nice price for mpc60...n the 1K prices look good too, that 2KXL too...dont see need to buy 4K when there are so many options that will yield you same results for much cheaper...djfrantic is on point with that view. It aint the gear dude...find a mid point somewhere and build your studio when you have a NEED to expand not just to keep up with jones...my 2 cents...1 luv

they negotiate too

i negotiated a little bit when i got my mpc1000 at GC. got it for $800 + tax, so 900 out the door with free cables. Aint the best deal, but i lived with it. also if they remember you they'll give you better deals the next time you go. Because the next time i went, i got the fast track pro + a pair of rokit 5s w/ free cables for $431 out the door. i thought that was pretty good.
