Using Mpc 500 without RAM card?

Hi!


I bought over a craiglist type service an used Mpc 500, and it came without a RAM card in the "battery slot". If I use the Mpc 500, if I turn it on will it give me any problems? I mean, will it cause a malfunction or crash and damage the MPC?

I am a newbie using these and at the moment in Latin America, where getting a hold of one of these is very hard.

Any help would be appreciated.

It probably should, google and see if the 500 has stock ram, It should. (maybe wont have that much sample time tho!)
 
Yes it does, it has internal RAM memory (16mb), and an option to expand it to 128MB (like 24 min more of recording in mono ram mode). I did a quick search and other users helped me out with the memory things right and which ones to use. Using the rights specs you can load a 256MB card and get double the memory.
