D Dj Frantic New member Oct 21, 2007 #2 You need a preamp. can hook it up strait thru the 404 and turn the isolator and boost all three frequencies and it will sound ok, but not great. If you do it that way make sure you hook up the ground cable to the back of the 404s ground connection.
