Tone coming from MPC

OK, So this is whats happening:

I have a tone coming from my MPC 2000xl whenever I turn it on, the tone does not come up through any of the outs (headphone, L-R) nor does it come through when i am recording in. The tone is being emitted from the actual MPC its self.

SPECS


-Floppy Disk Drive (Not Working)
-8 Outs (NO)
-EB16 Effects board (YES)
-16MB Memory x 2 (32MB total, YES)
-External SCSI zip Drive (YES)


If anyone can help me with fixing that i would greatly appreciate it

if it will help any i will try to make a video and post it on Youtube so everyone can atleast hear what am talking about.

power cord not in all the way? some cables where your drives were are in contact with metal? def. circuitry issue

Try swaping out all the cords.
That would be my first guess.

It's probably one of the electrical components inside the MPC that needs to replaced, which would be fairly difficult. You should be able to take the cover off and narrow it down.
