sp303 sample trimming?

hello
I am planning on getting a sp303 or 404 in the future./ I just wanted to know if the sample chopping is accurate on it. For instance if i sample a snare into the 303 will i be able to use the start and end knobs to get the snare cut nicely? or do you have to use the mark buttons as well? please let me know and thanks in advance.
 
you gotta use the mark button unless you sample it really well. meaning their isnt more than 1 or 2 seconds in front or back of the sample. its fairly accurate and a good tool to enhance your ears and not your eyes.
 
thanks for the info, Yeah i think i am gonna go ahead and cop it. I was hearing that it was not accurate but more people are saying it is not bad.
As long as i can chop my drum samples to start on time I am good. thanks again!
