This thing looks really nice it has the fantom sounds in it and plus u can install srx expansion chips. Its set to drop in august no price is set on it yet.

its expensive, i saw a quoted price in the UK in a mailing i got from Roland UK the other day.

Due to be released in august at a price of £527 - which makes about $1050 of your US dollars at todays exchange rate :)

I, personally, think this is great. This is where things are headed, hardware units with great computer integration. This is like the Muse Receptor with a Fantom inside basically, I think it's great. I'll definitely be adding one of these to my setup when it drops. I've been wanting a Fantom rack but this will be better for me. I wish there were a couple more SRX slots, but that's ok.

Oh and BTW, it's on Sweetwater for $795 :)

Sorry for bringing up old posts but I just saw this at my local music store and it looks pretty decent. I was going to get a Fantom XR but if this has all the sounds as the rack then I rather get this one.

Anyone try this thing yet?

I was able to visit Guitar Center this past Saturday and Mike Acosta was there doing a demo for various Roland gear. He says He is working on a video for the SonicCell in combination with the MV 8800. So this will definitely be taking the Fantom XR spot. This thing is nice and big too, so you don't feel lilke your handling a toy.
