Im not sure why they would go through the trouble of doing the graphics for the thing and add features like a cd rom drive if it was a emulation/vsti. Motu is ok just seems like false hope on a new doap machine.

yea, that ad i saw the other day was really misleading, i was under the impression that they had a dedicated controller to go with it. looks like NI and Ableton/Akai are the only ones gettin it right. i want software with a dedicated controller. that motu pic is false advertising and i hope they don't sell sht. who needs anothe pad-style plugin where you have to make/map your own controller for it, which is still not going to be able to control every single aspect of the plugin's operation. yea, i'm nice programmin my Trigger Finger, but i never can get all the controls i really want because there is always more in the plugin then on my controller and then some sht you can't even map to a controller. good job NI and Ableton/Akai. motu needs to take down those mockups with the cd drive and headphone jacks down, thats completely misleadin. and judgeing by some of the folks here on FP, lots of cats are gonna by this just from lookin the pix, then come and post here about how disppointed they are that they have been mislead thinkin they were gettin an actual hardware sampler/controller.

i like how they nonchalantly throw in "Or plug in your pad controller or MIDI keyboard to capture your live, groove-quantized performance directly in BPM."

It's like, one of those shirts where you got an outline of a slim broad in a bikini, but the shirt is worn by a fat hairy bit*h.

That's what the motu is. The Drum machine UI is the slim bikini broad with the fat ass and fat tits and the belly ring, but the computer and the monitor and the mouse and the keyboard is the fat hairy bit*h.
