Yes its a Mpc5000 but it has 3500 on the box and engraved on the left aerm rest ;)

Apparently theres are only 2 of those done ever. So whoever has the box, should really hold on to it, some moron will pay huge cash for it some day.

the number 3500 should have been on the actual product tho, cos it's a downgrade from the 4000.

You said that, the 3500 has the timing clock of the mpc 3000.

Do the 5000s, that they ended up releasing, have the same clock?

Yes they do thats what I mean.
I was told the by a Akai Beta tester for the mpc5000.
After using it (and having a mpc3k back in the day)I do feel it too

And yet despite all that, in other posts you claim the 5000 is the end-all-be-all machine, hah. We all know better, the number screw-up in the 3500's manual is there for a reason.

Actually you're lying, the machine that came out of that box has 5000 written on it.

In fact, as far as I know the number change came around February 2007, long before it got released in 2008. There are only two machines with 3500 and I know exactly who's got them.

whats all the haters!!! If hes lying then he has some personal issuses but if not then He made you look like a fool. If its true you have a 1 of a kind. DONT EVER SELL IT

I swear to God I am sure I seen this in a shop called Reverb in the UK. They had loads of boxes with the MPC's inside and I am positive I seen one that said 3500 because I had to look twice at it.

I believe you mate. I seen one of these boxes on sale infront of my face.

Why do you feel the need to talk sh*t so much? Do you just get off trying to trick people on the internet into thinking you're hot ****? Akai made hundreds of those units, you think they threw them away?

Hahah, right. Listen, I'm not here to make people think anything. **** I get plenty attention as it is. I couldn't care less what people think as long as money keeps coming in real life.

Anyways, actually no Akai only made 2 machines that have 3500 on the arm like this, that's what I'm talking about. That's why I have doubts whether those pictures are his and made of his machine. I was never talking about boxes with 3500 on it.

I don't believe the whole clock theory.
I need proof. Show me. My roots are in Missouri.
A beta tester would not know.....A software developer yes, but not a beta tester.

Since pics wont cut it I guess I will just make a video soon k.

FYI I do believe you own this machine, but really what makes you think they will react differently to a video?

Just do something crazy like a weird angle when making another photograph. Make one flat from the front, but in such a way that both '3500' is visible, but also for example the screen.

That way the picture is unique, meaning you can only have made it when you actually own the machine. ;)

I don't know. To some extent it would make sense, but on the other hand he totally made up the touch screen stuff he's said on mpc-forums.

He made it up, or someone gave him false info.

No the 5k was to have tough screen.

I know the tech who designed the blue prints for it.
Im going to see if he is ever going to do touch screen upgrades.
But i don`t think we would want me to put his name out there as im sure his phone would be ringing off the hook for this..

I think you're a liar.

I'm certainly no saint I'll give you that, but in this case I'm confident my sources wouldn't quite be lying about things like these. I mean what's the point?

Of course, whether it's 2 or 5 unique MPCs with the 3500 on them I don't really know, I don't work for Akai, but I was told by a reliable source there were only 2 made. All others come with 5000 on the arm, even the once that do come in a 3500 tagged box.
