need any mpc info/history. histor of samplers etc

got a job interview and i have to a presentation on a peice of techology. so i chose my mpc1000. but im looking for more info on the whole family of mpc's. the history of them and what famous producers use an mpc or famous songs that used an mpc.

also maybe an article on the history of samplers/sampling + drum machines in general.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Im sure you may have seen it already BUT "Beat Kings" would be a good movie to watch and refresh your memory about the history of beatmaking.
