I just picked up the infamous MPD24 and all it came with was a USB cable. So I went to akai website and Downloaded the 3 files for PC: vyzex, mpd24 1_10 update and some factory presents. When i connected the usb cord up it said it installed and i even installed the vyzex file. After trying to figure out how to install the update I read something about disconnecting the usb cable, which would turn it off for me since I have no power cable.
With all this said, since I have no power cable is there no way to update my MPD so my laptop and itself can then communicate?
