mpc CF card drums

What up,

I have an mpc 1000 and have drums loaded on a 2GB CF card and loads perfect...made an autoload folder and when i turn on my mpc...all my sounds are loaded....im hittin a big studio tommorw and purchased an 8 GB card and put tons of sounds on em and when i go to load the drums, it doesnt work.

Am i missing something here? I know they have to be a certain quality sample but NONE of the samples are loading.....im gonna go ahead and format the disk and hopefully that will work...

I dont think it supports cards bigger than 2gb, what does the manual say?

The MPC1k only supports CF cards up to 2GB.

I have heard about people using 8GB Cf cards, you might need a certain type for it to work that big. Are your samples all 16bit?
