Mpc 2500 and E-mu XBorad 49?

Hello Hello party peoples,
Before I throw this Xboard through my basement window I Figure it won't hurt to ask is some one knows how if possible to connect these two tools together. I want to Sample say a bass line and have it controlled by the xboard.

Actually what I want to do is say sample a bass sound and spread just that sound across the keys so I can lay down bass line or melodies and what not....Just as is I was pressing the 16 levels on the mpc.
