I'm looking for a sample cd preferably in aiff or wav format that I can use to add some killer bass sounds with. I'm making jungle music and I don't have a synth that can make that deep pounding bass. Similiar to Dillinja, Bad Company, ect. I've thought about buying another synth but it would be hell of a lot cheaper to just sample the basslines off of a cd. Any suggestions??
Get any old soft synth and fiddle with pwm, saw, and sine waves, and record individual hits (long and short) to separate wave files. Pull em into WaveLab (or whatever) and layer them, eq and compress. If you got a sampler, and a computer with internet, you should have no problems creating anything you like. If you don't have any softsynths, try http://www.analoguesamples.com for some starting points; you can only ever truly get the sounds you want by heavily munging stuff.
