connecting mv8800 to fast track pro and reason 4

i want to connect my mv8800 to my m audio fast track pro so i could use reason as a sound module but im haveing trouble. im getting no sound and reason isnt recieving the midi signal. i know this is basic stuff but can someone tell me how the two devices have to be connected,,, thanks in advance

MIDI out from the MV8K to Fast Track's MIDI in - that's it. Then obviously the audio output from Reason has to go somewhere, but for the connections to use Reason as a sound module there's really nothing else.
