Bass down when I record from my MPC 2000.

Hey FP.

When I record sound from my MPC 2000 onto my laptop, the music sounds fine in the beginnin', but after 5 seconds or so, the bass drops out and makes the sound more clear.

I've tried recordin' with different DAW's but it's still the same... Is it my computers input, or maybe the cable?

Has anybody else had this problem? Hope y'all can help.

Sounds like your music may be clipping? Are you making sure to record below 0db?(no red).

Yeah, there's no distortion of any kind and the sound level is almost all the way down on the MP.

It's not really the drums, it's mainly the sample... After 10 seconds or so, the sound get's very clear and loses the bass and low notes.

I'm having the same problem when I record a sample from my turntable..
