The USB-powered MPD24 drum machine from Akai has PLAY, stop, pause, record, and transport buttons on it, (as do many other midi controllers like the M-Audio Keystation Pro88). I am controlling FL Studio 7 software with the MPD24 hardware, and was able to link practically all MIDI CC#'s between the software and the hardware. But in FL, it seems like there is no option to link the software's transport controls to external hardware transport controls (a phenomenon known as MMC, which sounds as if it is a plug-and-play ability not requiring any link-controlling setups). Is this why I can't use the hardware transport controls on my MPD24? Because FL doesn't have MMC?
