Yeah, if you can't define "good mic" a little more clearly, and want something decent for general/all purpose use, I'd say SM57 or 58 (if you are primarily talking vocals). You will save yourself about $50 from your budget (which you will need to put towards your preamp and/or interface, which are just as or more important than the microphone itself).

Rode M3 - Cheap as chips and highly underrated...
My go to mic for recording acoustic guitars... It's like the AKG C1000s but much cheaper and much better.
