Processor fast enough for FL studio?

I have the AMD A10-7300 Radeon R6, 10 computer cores 4c+6g 1.9 GHZ. Sometimes when layering my fl studio gets slow and fuzzy and the cpubar gets red. ive had more instrumetns going at once before with no problem. This should be fast enough should it not? and i have 7gbs of RAM.
 
Mhhh...when your CPU bar gets red, that means your processor is at its limit. Have you tried to increase the buffer size in FL? That should give you a little more CPU headroom. If that doesn't help, bounce or freeze tracks to free up CPU usage.
 
Do you have an audio interface?
Do you use asio4all?
Do you set processor to high performance mode?
Is your harddrive above 5000rpm?
