I was hoping someone could give me some input on problems I'm having. I bought a Launchkey Mini used from Guitar Center. When I plug it in with Ableton Live open and an instrument loaded in a MIDI track, it immediately causes the device to play and hold a single note of noise, which slowly fades out. This is without any keys being pressed. For some reason just plugging the thing in creates MIDI data. After this noise, the keyboard stops working entirely. Sometimes it comes back after a few seconds and begins working, after which everything is fine, but sometimes I have to unplug it, then plug it back in, often repeating this multiple times, before it works steadily. Any ideas what could be causing these issues and what I might do to fix them? Is the keyboard just defective?
