Need Help With Routing Hardwares

Newly brought some studio equipments for a small home studio and now i am confused on how to route them to make things easier
kindly please HELP me with this issue

i have
1 - Waldrof Blofeld Desktop which has 1 Midi In , 1 USB , 1 Left/Right Stereo Out option

2 - Arturia Microbrute which has 1 UBS , 1 MIDI in , 1 Audio Input & Line Out Option

3 - Novation Zero SL Mk2 which has 1 MIDI in , 1 MIDI thru , 2 MIDI Out , 1 USB Option

4 - Simple Midi Keyboard which has no nobs,faders, it has 1 MIDI Out , 1 USB Option

5 - 2 In sound Card which has 1 Mic In and 1 Line In , which is connected to mac book pro via USB for recording in DAW and studio monitors.

I was hoping the shop keeper will help me figure this out since hes been selling pro equipments for a while but he was of no help

Kindly please tell me what wires i need to make a comfortable routing

for now i have 1 TRS(Male) to TRS(Male) & 1 TRS(Mate) to XLR(Male) wires which i am hoping to connect on the 2 synths out and sound card Ins.

aslo what do i need to connect the novation zero sl mk2 and the midi keyboard for them to works as 1 unit while using them to control blofield..i dont no if thats even possible..

Please Share some tips on routing with a set up like this which can be very helpfull for new bees like me.
 
Couple of very nice synths, you will definitely enjoy them. There are many options for connectivity - imho, midi over usb would be best for your needs. mb pro has 2 usb3 ports - not enough, so you will need a powered usb hub. Your audio interface should be plugged directly into one of your usb ports (on the mac) - everything else plugs into the hub, which is plugged into the other usb port on the mac. So, the Blofeld, Microbrute, Zero Sl and Samson keyboard all plug into the hub. Then, you can use the keyboard or your daw to control the synths, or basically any midi routing you want (keyboard on the Microbrute to control the Blofeld, sequencer in daw to control both synths, etc) just by assigning midi channels as appropriate. The Zero SL doesn't really apply to controlling hardware synths - it's really for use with your daw, controlling the transport, mixer, as well as plugin parameters.

Now, as far as recording audio - your interface (ur12) seems to only have two types of input, mic or instrument. Neither matches the output of synths (line). Just guessing here, but you'll probably be ok going from either synth's output to the instrument (1/4' ts/trs) input on the ur12. The xlr input, though, goes through a mic preamp (no way to turn it off by the docs) - so not sure what your results will be using your trs to xlr cable Signal could be too hot (and make sure phantom power is off).

There are other ways to do this, just one guy's opinion and hope it helps.

the powered usb hub is great advice as in for recording from synths i can go 1 at a time untill i get a mixer later or sumthing

any powered usb hubs u would like to suggest??..jst wana look into how good n relaible they should be.
 
Is the interface new, as in could you still return it & exchange for something else? Having a mic input & hi-z input is just a pretty silly combo if the stuff you have has only line level outputs. You can use both inputs, of course, they're not just optimal for this...
 
NO, the interface is around 6 months old and i dont think they'l exchange it.

i figured out how to record from the synths, theres jst a problem with blofeld..it gives a hiss noise when pluged in with usb to DAW, which seems to be a USB ground loop issue
still waiting on midi cables and hopefully this issue will be solved

i have seen few posts on using novation sl mk2 to control blofelds parameters,jst hasnt explained its routing
so still figureing that out

other then this the recordings r fine, have to record 1 synth at a time which is not a problem.
