Hello, I'm starting to take music production seriously but my current laptop isn't up to par. It's a HP envy sleek book with an amd a10 processor and 8gb of ram.. When I have multiple instances of sylenth, massive and mastering plugins such as izoptope my CPU is god awful.. I can't even run the flp .. Sometimes my CPU temperature will be at 130 degrees which is crazy.. Im thinking about building a desktop that meets my needs for production or even buying a custom desktop.. Can someone please help me out? My budget will be around 700$ .. Thanks!!

Just make sure you have atleast 8gb ram and a very good processor min i5 these are the parts that are very important for audio editing' . anyway 700 dollars might be to cheap .

Bought a brand new ASUS for around 1000 a few years back. I can run Kontakt, Omnisphere, and like 8 Nexus windows with no problem. Make sure you get plenty of disk space. Almost blew threw a TB just in VSTs!
