KRK Rokit 5s vs. Yamaha HS5s

Hey guys, im about to buy my first monitors. Im a producer who mainly works on hip hop / trap / futuristic beats. I need your opinions on which monitors to get first.. Krk Rokit 5s or Yamaha HS5s

Sorry i cant post links yet, because i am new to this site..
 
I've been told that the Rokit's are simply brilliant, and the Yamaha NS10's are untouchable. The HS5's are the current version of the NS10's so I believe it's literally a case of go for what you can afford. They are both amazing monitors, and you won't got wrong with either.

Just be aware that the 5's are used for certain room sizes, so make sure you have a similar room to what they are designed for, otherwise go for for the 6's or 8's if you have a larger room.

All 5 inch monitors are going to lack in the low end. Its best to add a sub to the mix if you go that route. Also, don't forget about acoustic treatment...:rolleyes:
 
ive had the krk 6's and now i have the yamaha hs80m's
krk isnt accurate for mixing. so all the low end you are hearing with krk's arent really there.
