Keyboards with sounds? And how they work???

I work in FL Studio and I was just curious on how they work in a DAW?
Im use to using VST's for sounds.

Like an ASR 10.
Do you receive a CD to install the programs from the keyboard?

I know TOP producers have like Jake Uno, No I.D use alot of keyboard sounds.


Is there any benefits on using keyboard sounds than vsts????

you bring them in via the audio ins of your interface and you use the midi part of your interface to control them

People will argue about the "warmth" or "color" of the sound but the truth is most vst's are similar enough to "hardware" nowadays that only a select few can really tell the difference.... (arguably, of course.....)
