Home Studio or Separate Studio?

IF MONEY IS ABSOLUTELY NOT AN OBJECT...

Would you build a kick-ass home studio, or a separate studio?
or simply hire various studios?

Please discuss.

The studio would have to primarily suit an in-the-box producer/dj, as well as others.
Money is an object, but I'm just interested to know people's opinions.

Consider already majorly established artists like Hardwell, Skrillex, Dillon Francis etc.

I'd build a separate building within my home grounds much like Peter Gabriel did in the late 80's once he started to make money

designing a room for tracking and mixing and mastering is difficult so there would essentially be 4 spaces for the different tasks; tracking requires a control room and a recording LEDE (Live End Dead End) room....

looking at upwards of $500k to do this without even putting equipment in

i would go home studio, you're gear has to be right there w8ing for you when the inspiration comes

re

I go both. I want my writing and creative spot at home and my mixing and traditional studio in another location. there are benefits and costs to both but sometimes its good to get up and go somewhere to get focused.
