Help me set up my mic :) :(

So I finally got a mic and I need help getting it to work.
My setup is :
Scarlett Focusrite 2i4
and AT2035
Xlr to 1/4 I believe
I connected mic to interface and I changed my audio setting on MacBook
but it doesn't work
any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Any help is deeply appreciated :)
 
very simply you need xlr-xlr for your mic so that the phantom power can work and your microphone actually turns on......
 
honestly i thought it was the cable but i wanted to make sure before i went and bought the other one. Thank you! Im new to this stuff so i appreciate the help.
