HEIL Talkbox not working...

Hi there,

I have a Dunlop HEIL Talkbox that used to work fine powered by an electro harmonix power amp but for some reason it just stopped working now. There is just no sound coming out of it....

It's not a problem with amp.

Does anyone know what this could be?

You can do a google search for replacement drivers. People used to blow them out all the time "back in the day".

OK randomly I had the same problem with my talk box last night. So I took it apart. Turns out that a wire had come loose inside because the speaker case wasn't screwed tight so it rotated around 180 degrees and pulled the wire loose. So I soldered the wire back on and it fixed the problem. Maybe you should take yours apart and it could be a simple fix.

so yeah and that of course is the problem of long-distance troubleshooting - no opportunity to do what I would do in the workshop - open it up and make sure about connections first - so tend not to think to suggest it when these types of questions pop up
