Headphones for mixing?

Iv always used Sennheiser but about a year ago I bought the KRK KNS-8400 and im pretty impressed with them for mixing, I would definitely recommend them! I think they may be slightly over $100 but definitely worth the extra bit of money if you want some decent cans.

anything from akg, maudio[I'd say skip the technicas] shures and beyerdynamic.
sennheiser's alright but the stuff below the 100$ mark is alil below the q40/m50.
hd500-600 series is completely different though.
But in that budget no senn is gonna top th other headphones.

Honestly there's not much around the $100 mark for mixing. As others have said, save a little and get a pair of DT770's. And ideally a pair of open backs is the best for mixing. shopping around a bit will get you some amazing open backs for little!

I wouldn't say anything from those companies. Shares are def not good for mixing, as are m-audios. Akg are good for certain types as they are top heavy. Not a fan of Sennheisers for pro work. Beyerdynamic is cheaper and generally better for translation. The best are maybe 2 headphones you know in depth. Ideally monitors are the tools you use.
