What up folks!

So I'm about to get back into making beats.

I sold my MPC2500 years ago and I only had it for a year. Used the cash to buy some DJ equipment since that was my main focus at the time. Beat making was something I did on the side.

So now I really want to focus on production. I'm familiar with a couple of programs. For example, FL Studio and Ableton Live are some that I messed around with. Ableton Live being the one I spent the most time with.

Anyways, I got hooked up with an Akai MPK25 midi keyboard, downloaded Logic Pro X (Late 2011 13" Macbook Pro) and I got a Maschine Studio on the way.

I was wondering if these pieces of equipment/software combo was good enough to make great QUALITY hip hop beats.

Thanks!

Honestly, your computer with Logic Pro X is all you really need. RedOne produced Lady Gaga's first album using nothing but Logic Pro 9 with the included plugins and synths. So yeah, you have more than enough to make quality music. Whether you end up doing so depends on how much time you dedicate to learning how to make quality music.
