Hello everyone!
So i just bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to record some guitar into cubase. However i am having the issue that i always have an input signal when i play through Mac OS itself which then overlays with the input signal in cubase. Even when i have cubase turned off i get a signal through Mac OS when i am playing the guitar. Everything sounds fine its just that El Capitan is already processing the signal and i am unable to turn it off for some reason.
I tried to change the input device to the integral macbook one under system preferences -> sound but even when i do that i still can hear my guitar playing as if the OS is still processing the focusrites input signal.
Does anyone know how can i turn this off so that i only hear the guitar in cubase without Mac OS duplicating the signal? Its kind of annoying :S
