you might also be able to find a used set of 880s for around that price but i live in my 880s and all my clients love the 770s

agreed, for that $ the beyers are great, so are the ATHM50, I would take either of those and im sure you will be satisfied
 
I have a pair of AKG K44s. They are usually $99 but they and others randomly go on sale throughout the year for sub $50 at Guitar Center.
