Anybody here have any pros and cons to either?

I know both are Pro Tools Compatible and the 8R clearly has more ins and outs, but is there a difference in quality or latency? Preamps?
I'm leaning towards the 8R because I have coupons for it plus a lot of gift cards, and although I don't currently need that many I/O options, maybe I will one day.
Any opinions on either? Thanks!
