Do KRK woofers ever get discolored???

Hey all, I recently picked up a pair of heavily used KRK VXT8's. Sounds sweet, looks like hell....

Anyway, you know the classic bright yellow woofers on KRK's? Imagine that, except more like a mustard brown/yellow.

They aren't dirty or anything. It first I thought it may be cigarette ash, but they monitors don't stink at all.

Does anyone know if Kevlar discolors?? My thinking is that they were left out in direct sunlight for some time. They don't look like replacements either.

Thanks for any insight! :o

I think I've read somewhere that kevlar discolors in ultraviolet light (which of course is present in sunlight as well). Dunno what it looks like though.

haha do you have a picture? I have the silver color ones so I'm not sure. Did the guy have them outside?

Yo guys...really have no idea of the history of these. Seller had no information. But yeah, I'm thinking sunlight is the culprit.

Click the pic. On the right are Rokit 6's. KRKS.JPG
