New Alesis Core 2 audio interface: usage for the 2 USB inputs on the rear?

Hi,

Regarding the Core 2 back panel, I see that it has 2 USB ports ( USB 1 and HUB 2). Would soemone explain to me what would be the usage of them?

so just a had a quick look over at sweetwater

these are ports to plug in devices like your i-lok/e-licenser/ignition-key/thumb-drive/usb hard-drive/mouse/keyboard etc - i.e. they are like any other external usb hub - I would not be using them to power external usb devices that require a lot current /voltage to work, though
