NEED HELP With Monitors

So I am trying to run my M-Audio Studiophile AV 30 monitors (I know they suck) into my m-audio m track quad. The inputs on the monitors have an aux in or rca left and right in. the monitor outputs on the m track are balanced 1/4'' (4 of them). I tried running rca to 1/4'' but no sound will come out of the right speaker. Mind you that the two speakers are connected via speaker wire. Is it just impossible to connect both speakers to my m track?

you need to use two 1/4" trs to mono rca cables - i.e. 1 cable for each input, not a joint cable (trs to twin rca) into one input
