Hello i just purchased a refurbished 2012 macbook pro with 16 gb RAM core i5 and thought it was powerful enough to handle Omnisphere and Kontakt 5 but i was wrong. I use Logic X as my DAW and a few minutes after opening kontack and laying down a few tracks the cpu spikes and everything slows down then i get a system overload message. Im very frustrated because i haven't been able to create for the pass 2 months!.i tried everything from freezing the tracks and rendering the plug ins. It can't be the RAM because its maxed out to 16 GB which is overkill so I'm thinking i need a more powerful processor? so i think my only option is to find a macbook pro with a quad core i7. my question is, is it enough not to face this issue again? what are my best options? thank you
