My computer crackles a bit and skips on tracks with a lot going on. Like with about 10-15 heavy tracks with CPU intensive VST's etc.
My computer spec is:-
AMD Athlon (tm) 64 x 2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.81Ghz
5.00GB RAM
64 Bit OS (Windows 10)
Going to revert to Windows 7 I think.
But I want to upgrade my computer so that it doesn't struggle.
What will help here, upgrading my RAM or my Processor or both? is it possible to change/upgrade your processor?
I also would like to point out, is I don't want to spend a lot of money if I can help it. I don't want to spend more than £80 ($106us).
I have 4 RAM slots. Have a 4 in one and a 1 in the other. Might try and get another 4GB RAM to replace the 1GB, so then I'll have 8GB RAM. I have 288GB of normal storage memory too.
I don't know if my Audio Interface drivers will have anything to do with this. I have a Behringer Xenyx Q502 USB Audio Interface / Mixer and I downloaded the appropriate drivers for that.
