MPC 2000XL for sale (ebay)

damn! i checked the listing, you got more pics? i might be willing to hit the buy it now as soon as my tax return comes in.

Here's two pics that are MUCH larger than the ebay one - one is the same pic and another is a macro shot of the CF drive w/ a card in it.

*NOTE: I forgot to add this originally in my ebay description (just fixed that!) but I am also including the 1gb CF card in the picture and it will have roughly 300mb of sounds and some old MPC programs and snd files as well.

Thanks for checkin it out - hope your check comes soon! :)

It's a good deal, the compact flash reader makes using a MPC so much better... my 2000xl has one too, I will never mess with floppies and zip disks again

Is that a CF card that you have in the zip drive? How'd you do that?

It's not a zip drive - mine never had one actually - came w/ a floppy drive originally.

I purchased this: http://www.buy.com/prod/addonics-ul...ter-ata-flash-pc-card/q/loc/101/10327035.html
a few years ago and installed it myself. At the time, ppl were saying online that it was the only card reader that worked w/ the MPC - so I got one - thankfully, before they became scarce - as they are now, it seems.

(scroll to the bottom of that link I pasted for the specs on the card reader)

The subject of the screen has been raised by a few people - so here's a close-up of how it looks: http://brandonwinslow.com/pics/MPC/screen.JPG

Its hard to even tell. Is it that clear line between "track 01" and "drum 01" going all the way across?

Is that only on that screen or every screen, and does it interfere with text or wavforms on other screens?

It does go all the way across - it is faint. I *just* repacked the machine - I am pretty positive however that the line is on every screen - it's more of a "screen" issue - no doubt from age.

Because of where it is on the screen - and after looking at some screenshots online just now, I don't honestly believe that it will be a major hindrance for reading or for editing/chopping waveforms.
