I am the second owner of this awesome sound module, which is basically 4 X Proteus 2000 units in one, with a more powerful processor, a GREAT pattern sequencer, killer arpeggiation, improved sounds and more features than the 2000. As an added bonus, the previous owner installed 512 Composer patches from the Proteus 2000 (different from the 2500’s Pop set) into the user banks of this unit, not something you’ll find anywhere else!
New Version 2.0 E-MU Operating System Software is installed and running properly, which offers bug fixes plus 9 new performance features, as well as 13 new sequencer features, ranging from on-the-fly track swapping to new trigger keys functionality. Some of the new features with 2.0 include:
1) XMix: allows you to replace tracks of the currently playing pattern with tracks from another pattern. It's designed both for performance use and as a quick way to experimentally swap tracks.
2) Direct Pattern Access: You can now select one of 16 patterns using the Trigger buttons.
3) Explode/Combine Tracks: These new functions facilitate the interchange between single multi-channel tracks and multiple single-channel tracks.
4) Key Up Layer: The synthesizer layers can now be programmed to play when a key is released instead of when it is pressed.
There is also a fantastic and very easy to use FREE editor available at the link below to breathe amazing new life into your E-MU sounds, and makes editing not only a breeze for the E-MU modules but saves time and adds some extra editing features not available on the modules! All you have to do is connect your PC or Mac to the module via MIDI.

Manual and power supply are included. Unit in Excellent condition functionally. To note are only two very minor cosmetic “flaws” on this unit, which were there when I got it:
1) Very minor rack rash
2) The cover for the small light on the Bar.Beat button is missing, but the light behind it works
