how do you get recognized locally

im a rapper just starting out and im trying to get exposure in my community any tips??

Locate and add as many DJ's and Clubs in your area as possible to your web network. This gives you insight to who is actualy doing something and where they are doing it at. Follow them, get in with them, learn and eventually youll be able to create your own motion.

Last: This is a decision you must act on. Meaning simply thinking about "blowing up" wont work. You have to plan, that at a minimum - on a monthly basis you will attack your promotional efforts as if it were something that HAD to be done. That means you schedule for next Friday night, you will go near a public venue to meet people, collect emails/phone numbers and introduce yourself to people in your city. This could be at a bar, club, car wash, record store, mall. . . . . . . But it has to happen. If you think, "oh eventually one day this month Ill hit the streets" it wont happen. Only when you plan the date. Attack as if you were seriously doing it to land a deal.
