What is the Custom Shop?
The Custom Shop is an online store for buying IK gear models. It can be accessed from within AmpliTube and T-RackS CS applications and plug-ins.

What can I buy in the Custom Shop?
You can buy individual gear models and gear collections for either AmpliTube, for your Guitar Amp & FX needs, or T-RackS platforms (Mac/PC), for your mixing and mastering needs.

How can I access the Custom Shop?
If you already own a recent version of AmplITube (version 3.5 or higher) or T-RackS (version 4.0 or higher), you already have Custom Shop access. Look for the Custom Shop icon and click on it. If you don’t own either one, it’s easy to download the free AmpliTube Custom Shop or T-RackS Custom Shop software from the IK site. Both give you free gear to get you started, and access to the Custom Shop.

What are Gear Credit Packs?
The Custom Shop uses its own currency, called Gear Credits, which you can purchase and use for buying gear. All Custom Shop gear is priced in Gear Credits, rather than standard currency. Gear Credits come in packs ranging from 20 to 1000 in a pack, and are available in the Custom Shop.

So...what do I do to get in on this promotion?
If you already own AmpliTube or T-RackS, just open the application, click on the Custom Shop icon, and the press the Add Credits button. You’ll be presented with a Credit Pack price list, and you can purchase credits from there. Other Enhancements
With our "Background Audio" switch in Settings, iGrand Piano and iLectric Piano (also with SampleTank) were always able to play in the background when you needed to switch to non-audio apps. However, when another audio app was launched, iGrand Piano would stop playing and relinquish the device's audio output to the new audio app. Now with this update, iGrand Piano or iLectric Piano you can continue playing them in the background, even with another audio app open. This means that you can layer iGrand Piano with iLectric Piano and SampleTank or any other audio app that supports this, or you can send MIDI information on multiple channels to play different parts on the various instruments simultaneously. Don't want to do that? To simply play your audio apps one at a time, go to settings and switch "Background Audio" off.

The first video shows AmpliTube providing amp-and-effects sounds for the recording of an electric guitar solo into Harmonic Dog’s Multitrack DAW app. Then AmpliTube is in the Output slot as a recorder, capturing a bass part from Korg’s iMS-20 that’s played on an IK iRig KEYS keyboard, as well as drums from Propellerhead’s Rebirth app.


Thesecond video starts with AmpliTube providing all the parts for a GarageBand recording: drums from the Loop Drummer module and amp-and-effects sounds for guitar and bass parts recorded through IK’s iRig STOMP interface. Next a beat from IK’s SampleTank app and an pulsing synth from NLog Synth Pro are processed in realtime by Magellan, and recorded into AmpliTube’s multitrack.


The third video features AmpliTube providing reverb for acoustic guitar parts being recorded into Loopy HD — a multitrack looping app — through a condenser mic plugged into IK’s iRig PRE mobile mic preamp. Next, the DM1 drum machine app is slaved to Loopy HD using MIDI clock, and a drum part is recorded in sync with existing guitar, bass, and organ tracks.
